Everything is at the file level. This is not a bad mp3 player. Also, it doesn't always seem to play the files in order. This might be ok for a CD with 10 tracks, but when you put two audiobooks on here with 200-odd files each, getting to the beginning of the second audiobook is an exercise in frustration. It's small, it takes a single AAA battery, and it plays MP3s. THe single huge drawback that I've found, is that you can't do an album-level (as defined by directories containing MP3s, or by tags) search (at least not that I've discovered).
For this price and 2gb you can't go work in my opinion. I think for the price this is a good product. It is easy to use and works fine for me.
For me - it is great. The one drawback is that the earbuds that came with it were mediocre. It costs less than the other brands. I keep it in shuffle mode, so I just push the button: once for "on", once for "music", once for "play", and I'm rocking.I don't use the FM tuner, voice recorder, or use it as a flash drive, so I can't address those functions. Here's what I wanted: SMALL and LIGHT, with good capacity, long battery life, inexpensive, and EASY to use (in my way).I love this thing. I replaced those, and now I have no complaints. I've got 200+ songs on it with room for more. It is tiny & weightless. One AAA seems to last forever.
It is a great product especially for the price. I bought this mp3 player fot my 10 year old neice for christmas,I was impressed at how many songs that it can hold.
i would suggest investing in rechargeable aaa batteries for this product. i like the fm tuner and it works well, although it eats up batteries.
